“ One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants that offers the 7 course beef meal. I would say this is less popular than the usual pho or banh mi dishes but a great option for exploring different types of Vietnamese food. Over the years the prices have gone up but the quality is still consistently good! The set menu for 7 course beef will be filling enough for 2 people and it's a great experience to make your own summer rolls. If you're looking to have bigger rolls, order a side of vermicelli. From grilling, boiling, beef salad, to bbq meats and beef porridge, this sampler menu is always the best go to option! ”
“ This is the best spot for catfish and for family dinners! My family and I usually come here for dinner and it satisfies everyone's bellies. Kevin, our waiter, is always so helpful. Always recommending what is best for a group of 25 (yes, we roll deep on my family haha). We usually order 2 catfishes, fried rice, cha gio, mo chai, la lot, chao bo and the nuong xa. We do grill every once in awhile. The catfish is best! It takes a while for them to fry so do give it some time before it comes to your table. Plenty of parking in the plaza it is in and service is tremendous! ”
“ We came here for dinner recently for their infamous baked whole catfish and they were busy. We ordered the large catfish for a party of 5, and they only needed 30 minutes to cook it. The catfish came with spring roll rice paper and mint leaves/pickled veggies. We also ordered rice noodles, some sides, and meat to grill to wrap in our spring rolls. Dip your rolls in some fish sauce with chili sauce and yummy! All the food was fresh. Service was quick and attentive. Free parking in the parking lot. We really enjoyed dinner here. Highly recommend. ”
“ Great place for baked catfish and 7 course beef. Great for large groups and friendly service. ”
“ My BF and aunt were craving catfish so we stopped by Thien An Bo. I have to say, we've tried a lot of places and their sauces and veggies are the best with their catfish. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 star rating is because the size of fish doesn't always justify the price. I guess we got lucky today, they didn't have small so we got the medium and it's way more than enough for 3-4 people to have. If you haven't tried their catfish, give them a try if you don't feel like beef tonight. ”
“ I come here every couple months when I'm craving with family. We always get the fried catfish and wrap it with all the leafs, pickled veggies, cucumbers. And we can customize the fish sauce to dip with. The medium sized catfish is pretty huge and can comfortably feed 4-5 ppl. It's just so deliciously soft and tender. The skin is crispy and everything about the wraps are so full of flavor! I love this place!! We also got the 7 Courses of Beef which prepares the beef in different ways. Boiled, grilled, meatballs, wrapped in a leaf, soup, etc. The restaurant is huge with lots of seating . The staff serving are pretty quick. ”
“ This is one of my favorite spots for catfish spring rolls--the food is consistently great, and the service is pretty good too. The decor is a bit weird, but honestly, I'm here for the food, so it doesn't bother me much. A pro tip: always call ahead to order a catfish, so you don't end up waiting forever for it to be prepared. They also have excellent dishes for the 7-course beef; my favorite is the steamed meatloaf-looking dish (though I don't know the name of it). The leaf-wrapped meatball is another standout--super delicious. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, though. Even if you call ahead for the catfish, it doesn't guarantee you'll get a table right away. Despite the occasional wait, this place is my go-to. Sometimes, we even call in a to-go order just to enjoy it at home because the line can get long. ”
“ 4.4 stars This is one of my favorite restaurants in the SGV. What I really like about them is 100% food & service-based. The ambiance is just casual. What we usually order when my large family gets together (between 8 - 16 people): Large ($89)/XL (?) catfish: A must order if you have a large family. The fish is baked/roasted until the skin is crispy & served whole, topped with oil scallions. I recommend the large b/c it is meatier than the smaller ones. The smaller ones are pretty bony. When you order this, it comes with banh trang (rice paper), fresh veggies/herbs/pickled carrots & daikon, & sauces. Those are refilled when the table runs low on ingredients. Bo nuong la lot: this is seasoned ground beef wrapped in betel leaves - grilled. In the past, the beef used to be a larger portion, but it has since gone through shrinkflation. A large comes with 10 beef rolls for $22. Still worth the splurge for me :) Dia Thit Nuong: Grilled pork that is sliced & served with fresh romain lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, & oil scallions. The oil scallions are delicious! I believe this is now $24 per plate. Cha Gio: Eggrolls are always a hit, but it's 5 rolls for $14. Again, worth the splurge to me. Not too salty...just deep-fried perfection. Don't remember the name of this dish, but it is the grilled beef rolled w/ onions. This is pretty good too, but I think it's expensive for what it is. And this is something easily made at home, I think. This is definitely a popular restaurant & I do recommend coming early for lunch/dinner. If you're a fan of Vietnamese food & would like to portions for lots of people, this is the place to be! Service is also pretty great, too. Also, free parking on site. ”
“ The only catfish I'm glad to meet. This is our go to spot for catfish, we ordered a medium and that was enough to fill up 3 of us. PROTIP first one to arrive asks for the table and asks them to prep the catfish. Small 1-2 ppl Med 3-4 ppl Large 5-6 ppl Some good sides are one of the 7 course beefs. You could also make rolls with these meats. BONUS the restaurant inside is huge so the wait is very fast even on busy nights. But they carded us for beer not sure if that was a compliment cus we old as hell. ”
